Islam against extremism

The markaz calls to Islam as the Prophet ﷺ taught it and as his Companions understood it. That understanding leaves no room for extremism, for violence against the innocent or for the ideas that produce them.

We do not promote extremist groups, and we condemn ISIS, al-Qāʿidah and every group upon their way. We do not declare Muslims to be outside of Islām, and we do not rebel against the Muslim ruler, which is the settled position of the scholars of the Sunnah.

We teach obedience to the law of the land in what is not disobedience to Allāh, and good conduct towards every neighbour whatever their faith. Anyone who claims otherwise in the name of this religion does not speak for it, and does not speak for us.
